The story catches up from where it was left behind and gives us some predictable series of events and there is not much time for the characters to develop. It is rather complex and provocative when we get to see about the Ashram and how Gaitonde is connected to everything. Since the climax of the first season puzzled so many people, it helped reach the audience but there is some sort of disappointment with regards to the characters and the story. Critics talk about how the show could've been a lot better and we see that lot has not quite lived up to the hype created for the first season.

This season follows Gaitonde's flashbacks and Sartaj is trying to find answers as to how everything is connected. He discovers an ashram in which his father once belonged and unravels new truths about that place and how it is working towards creating a new world. How Gaitonde became a part of this Ashram, his various notorious activities are shown subsequently affecting his image. The story now gets interconnected as new characters are emerging and their connection to the gangster and the police officer. It is finally found that the criminals have been harboring a plan with the help of the ashram to wipe out India. But the big question remains “How is Sartaj Singh connected to Gaitonde and why did he specifically call him?”

The story keeps you on the edge of your seat and the characters are very well written. All the actors in the movie are worth the praise for their performance and delivery of the show. We get to see how Mumbai as a city grew and the characters are neither good nor bad, they are somewhere in between. The cinematography, background music are also well combined together to make one of the best series on Netflix. With the smartly packaged episodes, tight screenplay, stylish editing and breathtaking performances and a mind-boggling ending episode keeps you waiting for the next season with the same enthusiasm and interest.

A crime thriller television series adapted from the book of the same name, becoming the first Indian Netflix original series. The story starts with Sartaj Singh, a Mumbai based police officer who is in hate towards the system because of the corruption happening. One day he receives a call from Ganesh Gaitonde, crime boss who has been missing for 16 years. He warns Sartaj to save the city within 25 days. The series delves into the gripping consequences of the ominous phone call. On his journey Sartaj is helped by a Research and analysis wing (RAW) officer. As the storyline goes by, we get to see flashbacks of Gaitonde’s origins and how he came to be known as Mumbai’s crime lord. Sartaj learns that this criminal and his father have some connection as we learn about the past of the man.
